NYCDA Convention

NYCDA Convention will be December 12-13, 2010 at Opryland Hotel. Any dancer wishing to attend the Convention must get payment and form to Ms. Di by Nov. 5, 2010.

2010-2011 Company Representatives

The nominations list for the 2010-2011 Company Representatives is on the bulletin board at the studio. Nominations will be accepted until 1:00 pm on Nov. 6th. Anyone interested in being a Company Rep should write their name under the specific Company.

Voting will take place ONLINE the week of Nov. 8-12, 2010. A link to the online ballot will be emailed by 8:00 am on Nov. 8th.

Chicago Trip Informational Meeting 9-15-10

On behalf of the Parent's Club Board and the studio, we would like to thank all those who shared input on this year's trip. As was said at the meeting, since this is not a mandatory trip, as it has been in the past, we are in uncharted waters that we may have to navigate differently than we have previously. We feel it would be more beneficial to turn the deadline date of September 15, 2010 into a meeting date with Thomas Tours. That night we will have the necessary information and a Thomas Tour representative there to answer any questions you may

have. You will be given the necessary date to turn in your commitments at the meeting. Thank you very much for your dedication to your dancers and we look forward to a great year!

Chicago or Bust!

The ACSD Companies will be traveling to the great city of Chicago for 5 days of a great dance experience! The trip is scheduled for June 19-23, 2011 and dance classes are being scheduled with Hubbard Street Dance Company (www.hubbardstreetdance.com)

The trip is not mandatory but strongly encouraged for all dancers in Ruby, Emerald, Sapphire and Diamond.

Main Street Festival 2011

Mark your calendars! Main Street Festival will be April 30, 2011 in downtown Franklin. ACSD Companies traditionally perform at this wonderful event.

Fall Conventions in Nashville

Conventions are optional and are available to all Ann Carroll dancers not just company members.  We strongly encourage you to participate in the exciting experience of being taught by some of the industry’s top dance teachers right here in your hometown. 

·        Shock the Intensive- Sunday, November 14, 8:00 AM- 4:30, Embassy Suites, Murfreesboro   Sign up and payment due by October 1.

·        Dancemakers-  November 20-21, Opryland Hotel, Nashville.  Sign up and payment due by October 15.

·        N.Y.C.D.A- December 11-12, Opryland Hotel, Nashville.  Sign up and payment due by November 5.

To attend a convention fill out the payment slips that were emailed to all. There are extra ones on the Parent's Club bulletin board.

Main Street Festival 2010

Congratulations Dancers & Teachers!

Memory Book forms due March 5th

Every recital Ms. Ann puts together a Memory Book for the dancers. The book contains pictures of every class/group/company in the recital, a tribute to the dancers who are seniors, the recital order and individual pictures of our dancers.

Dancers who want an individual picture included need to submit the form by March 5, 2010. The forms were sent home with the dancers and Ms. Di has extra at her desk.

Recital Pictures

Recital Pictures will be taken at the studio from March 15-28. Dancers will take a group picture with each company they are in. Individual pictures may be scheduled during the 2 weeks. The schedule for group pictures and the sign-up for individual pictures is at Ms. Di's desk.

Please look at the schedule and notate when your dancer will be taking a group picture with their companies and remember to bring their costume to class that day. EVERY DANCER NEEDS TO BE IN COSTUME TO BE IN THE PICTURE.

Dance Marathon 2010

A group of Senior & Junior dancers have planned a Dance Marathon for January 9th from 2:00 - 6:00 pm at the studio. There will be dancing, games, snacks & a contest judged by the teachers! Cost is $3 and each participate will need to sign a wavier to participate. This is not a mandatory Company event but we hope many of you will choose to attend as this promises to be a fun day.
